Racine Women for Racial Justice would not exist without generous contributions from people  like you.  Thank you for donating to the organization's general operating needs in support of everything we do.  If you are interested in donating to a specific area of our work, please include a note in the PayPal notes field, add a note to your check, or send us an email to let us know how your support should be designated.  In 2021, RWRJ will focus on:

- Providing educational opportunities to the community

- Establishing community connections and partnerships

- Creating an Action Plan for major injustices to respond to issues as they arise

We have also started a $5,000 Justice Fund to respond to financial needs of people who are navigating the  juvenile justice system in Racine County.  RWRJ established this fund to help young people with court costs and restitution fees that “fall through the cracks,” and that align with the organization's mission.  RWRJ board, staff and advisory council will make final decisions about how and when the Fund is used, with feedback and participation from the RWRJ community and will work in partnership with other juvenile justice related organizations and services, making referrals for things already available in the community.

RWRJ has a goal of raising $5000 for the Justice Fund in 2021.   Funds were already used in support of Traoun Oliver-Thomas to assist him with $660.00 in court costs and restitution fees that potentially would have extended supervision by the Department of Probation and Parole. We will continue to accept referrals from local attorneys and justice organizations to assist more young people in the future on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability of funds.
